If you are interested in participating in a learning community or interest housing, indicate your choice on the on-line Learning Community/Interest Housing Enrollment Request form when you complete your on-line housing application. This process is completed on your Syracuse Univeristy Myslice page. If you are interested in more than one learning community/interest housing option, you may rank order your choices to a maximum of three.

Instructions to complete the on-line housing and learning community enrollment request forms can be found in the "Your Admission to Syracuse University" booklet. Please contact the Admissions Office at 315-443-3611 if you have questions about the booklet or the on-line housing application process.

This on-line enrollment request form must be completed by May 14th, 2008.  Learning communities and interest housing are filled on a first come, first served basis. The earlier you make your selection, the better your chances of being placed in your choice of learning community or interest housing.

ACADEMIC ADVISING NOTE

Because many of our learning communities include one or more academic courses, you may want to consult an academic advisor in your home school/college prior to making a selection to discuss how the academic component fits with your particular curriculum prior to making a selection. Your home college office will be evaluating your transfer and AP credits. These credits may affect your eligibility for certain learning communities.  Therefore, you should consult with the Office of Learning Communities if you are expecting transfer, AP, or SUPA credits.

Special Information on Roommate Requests

If you are also making a mutual roommate request, each of you must make the same learning community choice(s). If you do not, a learning community/interest housing enrollment request will take priority over a mutual roommate request.  This does not apply to non-residential learning communities.
